New Church Hill Seat Damaged

You will recall that the seat at the bottom of Church Hill just by the notice board had been replaced with a new one commemorating the recent royal wedding.

Unfortunately, a van reversed into it and it has been so severely damaged as to be unrepairable.

The Parish Council are following up on an insurance claim against the vehicle responsible and have put the suppliers of the bench on notice ready to supply a new one. All that was recovered from the damaged seat was the brass plaque!
